Despite efforts by state legislators that placed district budgets under pressure, Louie helped guide the district in reducing GCISD’s total tax rate by 12.16 cents over the past three years.
Louie continues to fight for both lower taxes and an increase in the Homestead Exemption to $40,000

A LEADER IN BUSINESS
A FISCAL CONSERVATIVE, Louie is a professional fiduciary managing over $100 million in client funds.
A LEADER IN FAITH & COMMUNITY
During Louie’s 15 years as a member of Compass Church, he has exhibited servant leadership through Adult and Teen groups, mission trips, and volunteering in many other church programs.
An active volunteer in the community he has coached youth soccer and basketball teams. He has served in multiple capacities on both the Grapevine and Colleyville Chambers of Commerce. For Grapevine AMBUCS he has served as President and remains involved with this business leader organization which provides mobility and independence for the disabled.
As a 7th Generation Texan with family roots back to the Old 300 Stephen Austin settlers, Louie has a family legacy in the history, traditions, and values of Texas.
Louis is a Texas A&M graduate, a member of the Corps of Cadets, and remains actively involved in volunteer activities with A&M.
Louie has been married to his wife Julie – herself an active community volunteer – since 2000. Their two daughters attend GCISD schools.d
A LEADER IN GCISD
An active volunteer in GCISD since 2008, Louie has served two terms as a trustee. During his 2016 term, he made the significant year-long investment in time and study to earn the Master Trustee designation in 2018. Less than 10% of serving Trustees in the state achieve this recognition.
Louie is a former Director of the GCISD Education Foundation and a proud member of the PTA at all campuses.
